Skincare After IPL/BBL Treatment.

●      Stop your usual homecare regime and use only a gentle cleanser, sunscreen and hydrator twice a day for the first 5 days.We highly recommend SuperSerum (hyaluronic acid and peptide based serum) to be applied post treatment to help with hydration and Uberzinc to protect your freshly treated skin from the UVA/UVB rays.

●      You can apply a clean, new mineral makeup to the skin after 24 hours. Do not use an old or non-mineral product as this increases the risk of infection.

●      After 7 days, restart your homecare as advised by your tw&SKIN clinician. Reintroduce your Vitamin A and Vitamin C by starting twice a week and increasing as your skin tolerates. If redness or irritation occurs, contact us immediately.

After Your IBL/BBL Treatment.

●      The skin will initially feel red and hot and swelling or bruising may develop. This will subside with time and is considered normal. A cool pack can be applied, do not use ice as this will cause trauma to the dermis.

● The treated pigment will darken and lift to the surface of the skin in the days following. Do not pick, rub, scrub or exfoliate as this increases the risk of infection and scarring. It will naturally shed in around a week.

●      Contact us immediately if pain, swelling and redness increase or there are signs of discharge via - 0435 819 110

●      Do not do anything that will cause heat in the skin until healed, like very hot showers, saunas or high-energy exercise until skin settles.

●      Do not expose the skin to chlorine, bleach, dye or any other potential irritant until it normalises

●      Avoid sun exposure, tanning products and use a zinc based physical 50+ sunscreen for at least 4 weeks after treatment.

●      Do not have any invasive or irritant procedures on the treated areas such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, peels, or waxing for a minimum of 2 weeks after treatment. We are always happy to help - contact our clinicians for advice.
