Frequently asked Q’s

  • What area's are most commonly treated?

    Filler can be used in cheeks, lips, sunken temples, jawline, hands and fine lines.

    Evidence shows us that faces do not primarily droop or sag with age, they deflate. Filler is best used to give volume where it has been lost or where there is absorption of bone from the skull.

  • Treatment breakdown

    During your initial consult we can go over all questions you may possible have. Application of a topical anaesthetic may be used for lips or sensitive areas of the face to ensure a comfortable experience. Allow 2 weeks for the product to have full effect and drink lots of water!

  • How long do they last?

    The answer to that question depends on the type of dermal filler you use. Some products can last for six to twelve months, while other products can last up to five years. We understand it can be confusing however we explain all to be expected during your consultation and how ‘building’ filler provides longer results.

  • Are there side effects?

    Different area’s come hold various rare side effects. During your Dr consult we can go over any questions or concerns you may have.

    All serious side effects will be explained during your consultation, what to look out for and when to contact us if you are concerned.

  • Afterwards

    Bruising, swelling, bumps, minor asymmetry are all common and will settle. You may apply makeup with a clean brush 24 hours after your appointment. We advise to apply ice to the area to alleviate any discomfort.

  • Do I see a Dr before treatment?

    Yes. If you are considering a treatment which is a schedule 4 drug it requires a script to be issued by a doctor. This script will be done in person or via video consultation. We will review this every 6 months to stay on-top of any changes or new medications you may have started.
